Ingredients
walleye filtes
veg or olive oil (I use and 80/20 veg/olive oil blend)
slivered almonds
butter
fresh minced garlic
malibu
s&p
fresh parsley
2 saute pans
Directions
heat one suate pan with oil
once hot add your walleye filets and season with s&p and cook
in separate saute pan on high heat melt a liberal amount of butter.
when butter begins to bubble add 1/2T of garlic and a 1/2 cup of slivered almonds and a tablespoon of fresh parsley
lightly suate the almonds being really careful not to brown and burn them.
after sauteing for about 20-30 seconds add 1/4 cup of malibu.
burn off the alcohol. this takes about 30 seconds. beware if you are using a gas stove malibu is flamable and will flame up!! this is ok if you know how to handle it. remove from heat immediatly to avoid burning your almonds or over reducing.
plate your walleye and pour your almondine sauce over the top
