Woodchuck Pie

Ingredients

young woodchuck

chicken broth

onion

bell pepper

celery

salt

pepper

parsley

flour

butter

baking powder

milk

 

 

Directions

2 young ground hogs cleaned and quartered

Boil pieces about an hour

Allow pieces to cool, pull meat from bones

In to 3 cups of chicken broth add

 ½ cup of chopped onion, ½ cup chopped bell pepper, ½ cup chopped celery

If you have any leftover corn, peas or beans add them ½ cup

Add a tsp of salt and a tsp of pepper

Add a tbsp of chopped parsley

Stir in a cup of flour to both to thicken

Stir meat in to the broth

If you have any leftover sausage, ground beef or chicken add them 1 cup

 Pour into baking dish

Sift together 1 cup of flour, 2 tbsp baking powder, ¼ tsp salt

Cut in 2 tbsp of butter

Add ¼ cup of milk to make dough moist

Roll out dough and cover baking dish

Heat oven to 400 and bake for 30 minutes or till dough browns
